  5. To install this Windows(tm) program on your computer:
  6.  
  7.    1. Start Windows.
  8.  
  9.    2. Insert Disk 1 in either Drive A: or Drive B:.
  10.  
  11.    3. Select File>>Run from the Program Manager main menu.  Type A:SETUP
  12.       or B:SETUP, depending on which drive contains the installation
  13.       diskette, then select <OK>.
  14.  
  15.       As an alternative, you may open the File Manager, select the drive
  16.       containing Disk 1 and launch the file SETUP.EXE by double-clicking
  17.       on the file name.

  19.    4. Follow the Setup instructions on the screen.  Answer each question,
  20.       then click the <Continue> button.

  22. Program requirements:  80386 or greater, 2MB memory minimum (4MB or more
  23. recommended), 2.5MB available hard disk space; DOS 3.1 or greater,
  24. Windows(tm) v3.1 (or greater) running in Enhanced Mode.  640x480 VGA
  25. recommended.

  28. The DOS program SHARE.EXE must be loaded before using this program, even on
  29. single-user systems.  SHARE is needed to prevent simultaneous access to the
  30. primary database subsystem by an inadvertent launching of another instance
  31. of this program.  With the multitasking capabilities of Windows(tm) 3.1+
  32. operating in Enhanced Mode, it is *possible* that a user could at some
  33. point during a Windows session attempt to launch a second instance of this
  34. program.  The user's data residing in this program's database subsystem
  35. would become irreparably corrupted.  SHARE is designed to prevent such an
  36. occurence.  This program's SETUP will check for the presence of SHARE.EXE
  37. on the user's system; if not found, it will prompt the user for permission
  38. to automatically add it to the autoexec.bat file.  SETUP will also install
  39. a Microsoft-authorized copy of a late version of SHARE.EXE if it is found
  40. to be needed.  If the user is using the Windows for Workgroups(tm) system,
  41. SHARE.EXE is not needed as Windows for Workgroups will already be using its
  42. own VSHARE.386 device driver to control access to shared data.
